Interview with Sofia Kallos
Sofia Pairithou Kallos was born in Platania, Kozani Greece of Pontian origins. She gives a frank and deeply personal account of how (following her parent’s wishes) she reluctantly left her first love to migrate to Australia as a future young bride. Although the marriage did not last, Sophia’s fortitude and dressmaking talents saw her establish her own successful business where she was able to provide for her young family. Sophia recounts her life as very much a love story and her second marriage proved to be happy and fulfilling.
