Join us for the South Australian Launch of:
Australian Lives: An Intimate History by Anisa Puri and Alistair Thomson.
This is a major new oral history publication from the Australian Generations Oral History Project and Monash University Publishing. The book captures in text and audio the extraordinary life stories of 50 so-called ‘ordinary’ Australians.

The event will feature:
- author Anisa Puri talking about the delights and challenges of making a book based on 1221 hours of life history interviews
- a discussion between Australian Generations interviewer Dr Karen George and interviewee Michelle Cripps about what it was like to create Michelle’s life story interview
- the SA launch of the book by President of the History Council of SA, Professor Peter Monteath, and Dr David Sweet, Secretary of Oral History Australia
- wine and nibbles
- copies of the paperback available for purchase – cash only sale on the day.
