Interview with Konstantinos Panagaris
Konstantinos Panagaris (Con) was born in Pyrgos, Greece in the state of Ilias. When his parents, and siblings migrated to Australia, Con elected to stay behind to comply with Australian Government restrictions. He recalls his childhood however, as a happy one and his trip to Australia at 11 years old as very exciting. Con describes various Greek social customs and how early migrants integrated into the community. Nominated as president of the Lions Club of Adelaide Hellenic in 1982, he was a founder of the Glendi Greek Festival.
