Interview with Melpomeni Constantinou
Melpomeni was born in Monolithos on the island of Rhodes where she became known for her talents in singing, dancing and writing poetry. She recalls with fondness her childhood and early youth where even the Italian and German occupations during WW2 did not deter her from leading a happy and enriching life participating in concerts, musical events and functions. Despite the loss of her husband as a young mother in Australia, she reflects on her life with deep satisfaction and fulfilment.
