Interview with Mary Odontiadis
Mary was born in the central city of Rhodes where she recounts her early childhood as one of unrest and deprivation under German and Italian occupation during the war. She accepted the challenge of being one of the first wave of migrants to settle in Australia with her family. Despite her hardships and limited education, Mary worked hard to increase her opportunities, eventually establishing a successful sales career with promotion to a state managerial position which saw her travel all over the world.
